Senior UI Developer (React / AI-Native Experiences)
Senior UI Developer (React / AI-Native Experiences)
Location: Remote / U.S (PST preferred)
Experience: Senior (5+ years)
Who we are
At Omada.ai, we’re redefining how small and mid-sized businesses create, launch, and scale their marketing — powered by AI.
Our platform blends human-centered design with intelligent automation, giving brands access to AI-driven creative agents that produce videos, graphics, campaigns, and insights in real time. We’re building a next-generation multimedia experience where every user interaction is intelligent, personalized, and visually dynamic.
If you’re excited about pushing the boundaries of UI/UX craft and AI-first product development — this is where you’ll want to be.
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior UI Developer who can turn complex, AI-powered workflows into fast, intuitive, and visually rich user experiences.
You’ll own the end-to-end frontend architecture of our platform, working closely with product, design, backend, and AI teams to craft interfaces that seamlessly combine real-time data, streaming AI output, and multimedia creativity. This is a 0→1 environment: you’ll shape the product, the codebase, and the design system from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of React-based frontend applications that power Omada’s AI-driven creative platform.
- Own frontend system design — component architecture, state management, data synchronization, and rendering strategies that scale from prototype to production and across multi-session, collaborative interfaces.
- Design and build responsive, real-time UIs that connect to REST APIs, WebSocket streams, and AI inference services — including streaming model output and generative content.
- Practice design engineering: take rough concepts from Figma to polished, production interactions — sweating typography, motion, spacing, and micro-interactions along the way.
- Collaborate with design and AI teams to deliver multimedia experiences, including dynamic visuals, embedded audio/video, and generative content.
- Implement robust client-side telemetry, user behavior tracking, and error logging to improve visibility and reliability.
- Optimize for speed, responsiveness, and accessibility across browsers and devices.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and performance audits to uphold high engineering standards.
- Stay ahead of emerging AI UX patterns, frontend performance techniques, and creative coding frameworks.
What we’re really screening for
These four aren’t nice-to-haves. Come ready to show real work in each.
- CRITICAL — AI-native product experience: You’ve built interfaces around LLMs or generative models in production — streaming responses, agentic workflows, prompt-driven UX, or real-time generative content. You understand the UX patterns that make AI feel fast, legible, and trustworthy.
- CRITICAL — Startup / 0→1 product building: You’ve taken products from nothing to shipped — navigating ambiguity, making pragmatic trade-offs, and moving fast without a big team or a finished spec behind you.
- CRITICAL — Design instincts & consumer-grade craft: You have strong design taste and a portfolio of non-enterprise, consumer-quality UI. You notice when spacing is off by two pixels, and you can make an interface feel delightful — not just functional.
- CRITICAL — Frontend system design & architecture: You can design — and clearly articulate — the architecture of a complex frontend: component boundaries, state and data-flow strategy, real-time sync, performance budgets. Expect to whiteboard this with us.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping production-grade web applications.
- Strong proficiency with React (hooks, modern patterns), JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern build tools (Vite, Webpack, ESLint, etc.).
- Design engineering skills — fluency in Figma, comfort prototyping motion and interaction, and the ability to bridge design and engineering without a handoff document.
- Proven track record working with RESTful services, streaming APIs, or WebSocket communication.
- Deep understanding of responsive design principles, asynchronous data handling, and performance optimization.
- Experience building data-instrumented UIs with metrics, analytics, and error logging (Amplitude, Datadog, or similar).
- Strong grasp of UX best practices and component-driven architecture.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
Bonus Points
- Experience with video/audio rendering or creative visualization frameworks (Three.js, D3, Canvas, WebGL).
- Open-source work, design-engineering side projects, or interactive experiments you’re proud of.
What You’ll Love About Working Here
- Work on cutting-edge AI + creative technology used by thousands of SMBs.
- Collaborate with a team that blends engineering, design, and storytelling.
- Freedom to experiment and ship fast in a startup environment that values creativity and impact.
- Competitive compensation, flexible remote work, and opportunities for rapid growth as we scale.
If interested, email us at careers@omada.ai with your resume, a short cover letter, and — most importantly — links to products or interfaces you’ve built. A portfolio, live product, or side project that shows your craft will get our attention faster than anything else.
